About Us - integration, synergy and empowerment
Home Care + Health Care = Synergy
Mark & Sylvie's Home Care was set up by doctors to integrate health and home care. We did this because we believe that there is significant synergy in doing so.
Doctors rarely conduct daytime home visits for patients because the system of primary care in Australia doesn't quite support that to occur. However, via home care, there are potentially many support workers and nurses visiting a person routinely at home. It is our mission to empower those support workers, by giving them access to communicate with our medical staff. Therefore, if and when they observe a medical issue whilst visiting a client at home, they can notify their care manager, who will promptly facilitate a GP or other medical specialist consultation with one of our in-house team, either face to face or by telehealth.
We are a family business driven by our parent company, Atticus Health.

All our staff are dedicated and passionate about the cause of helping the elderly live safely and independently at home. Of note, with regards to the provision of services, we strive to help a person gain the support they need, whilst at the same time, not introducing any services that may inadvertently disempower them. If a person can and likes doing something, we generally try to help them keep doing that thing, rather than taking over. In this way, we seek to empower people.
